Longtime capital assets employee Samuel Nestor Clerry dies Samuel Nestor Clerry, a senior irrigation repairer in Capital Assets and Services for 12 years, died Aug. 9, 2007. He was 65. Born in Flagstaff on May 22, 1942, Mr. Clerry served in the U.S. Army and the National Guard Reserves for 20 years and retired in 1987. He worked at NAU from 1992 through 2004. He was a member of the American Legion Mark A. Moore Post No. 3. and a Little League coach for 15 years. Mr. Clerry is survived by his wife Theresa; sons Joe (Lyla) Clerry and Ray (Angela) Clerry; daughters Mary (Robert) Garcia and Rufina Clerry; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother Julia Vallejos; brothers Bunny Clerry and Jose Clerry and sister, Mary Padilla. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.norvelowensmortuary.com. |
