Join Louie the Lumberjack, NAU coaches and student athletes and the NAU cheer squad for a Lumberjack rally Aug. 24 in downtown Flagstaff's Heritage Square.

NAU pep rally planned downtown

Northern Arizona University is hosting a back-to-school Lumberjack pep rally as it sponsors the Aug. 24 showing of Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties as part of the Movies on the Square summer film series in downtown Flagstaff's Heritage Square.

NAU coaches and student athletes will speak prior to the movie and will be signing the 2007 NAU Athletics schedule posters. There also will be appearances by Louie the Lumberjack and the NAU cheer squad, as well as giveaways from the athletics department.

The rally begins at 6 p.m. and the film starts at dusk, so bring a chair or blanket and show your school pride by wearing the NAU logo.
