Meet and Greek at Welcome Week The Mountain Campus will be bustling with students and families getting to know NAU during Welcome Week, Aug. 23 to Sept 2. From group exercise and entertainment to academic advising and sorority and fraternity recruitment, an array of activities will be available to acquaint people with NAU. Highlights include a summer reading discussion, an employment and volunteer fair, a concert featuring the modern Irish musical sounds of Grada, and the NAU Bookstore grand opening with discounts and readings by a host of local authors, including New York Times bestseller Diana Gabaldon. Various colleges will host academic open houses and numerous clubs and organizations will be on hand to let people know what they offer and how they can assist students. Welcome Week also offers fun and opportunities to become familiar with Flagstaff. Join the good cheer at an NAU Pep Rally at 6 p.m., Aug. 24, in downtown's Heritage Square. Stick around for the NAU-sponsored movie night on the square and watch Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties. Residence halls open Aug. 23 and classes start Aug. 27.
