  • Northern Arizona University ranks 10th in the top 10 Best Buys for distance bachelor's degrees in criminal justice by GetEducated.com. The university rankings are based on a survey of 35 regionally accredited universities that offer distance bachelor degrees in justice, law and legal studies career areas. The complete rankings are online.
  • Brant Short, professor of speech communication, had an article, "Giving Voice to the Wild: The Rhetorical Legacy of Sigurd Olson's The Singing Wilderness," published in the 2007 issue of Speaker and Gavel.
  • Richard Quartaroli, Cline Library special collections librarian, had an article, "Simply Messing About in Boats," published in the Arizona Humanities Council's August 2007 issue of Arizona Insight. Quartaroli is the council's humanities scholar on a recent grant to Grand Canyon river guides to focus on under-represented female boatmen, "It's More Than Fair, the Ladies Speak Up." Guides' interviews are available through the Cline Library's online Colorado Plateau Digital Archives.
  • Mary I. Dereshiwsky, associate professor, educational leadership had an article "Strategies for Online Collaboration" published in the July/August 2007 issue of LERN Magazine, published by the Learning Resources Network.
