Assessment efforts recognized

Several academic units and programs have received university recognition for their efforts in assessing student learning.

The University Assessment Committee awarded two academic units the highest-level Seal of Assessment Excellence, and 14 departments, schools and programs received the Seal of Assessment Achievement.

The honors recognize departments and programs that have collected and discussed assessment data, while the Seal of Excellence singles out those that use that data for curricular revisions or highlighting student successes.

"Those receiving these new recognitions can be highlighted as models for sharing best practices in academic assessment throughout the university community," said Thomas Paradis, director of Academic Assessment.
