Safety on the minds of many A campus safety community discussion will bring together faculty, staff and students to talk about what has been learned from the Virginia Tech tragedy and what is being done to prevent such an occurrence on the NAU campus. "We All Play a Part: What We Learned from Virginia Tech," takes place from 3:30-5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, in Cline Library Assembly Hall. A panel will address the university's new safety and communication measures, the university's incident management process and where to go with questions. Panelists include Sarah Bickel, associate vice president for Student Affairs, Rick Brandel, dean of students, NAU Police Chief GT Fowler, Betsy Kerr, director of Employee Assistance and Wellness, Chris Gunn, director of the Counseling and Testing Center, Diane Verkest, director of Human Resources, and Tom Wahl, president of the Associated Students of NAU.
