NAU United Way Campaign kicks-off
at Sept. 14 luncheon

Help start the 2007 NAU United Way "Together We Matter" Campaign at a luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 14, at The Inn at NAU. The campaign mobilizes campus support for an agency that helps improve the lives of local children, families and seniors.

The Inn's executive chef Don Carlson is serving up a daily special for $5.95, including soup and salad bar. Donations will be accepted, which will be directed to the NAU United Way Campaign.

"One hundred percent of our contributions stay in northern Arizona," said Molly Munger, director of community relations at NAU and last year's campaign chair. She added that the funds go directly toward local agencies that work to bridge the education gap, break the cycle of poverty, and help families and individuals in times of need and crisis.

Reservations for the kick-off luncheon are strongly recommended. Call 523-1616.

NAU has planned several activities as part of the two-month fundraising drive to help it meet its $100,000 goal. During last year's campaign, nearly 300 NAU colleagues contributed to the total $70,430 raised for United Way.

Albert Sandoval and Lou Arminio, both from Information Technology Services, are co-chairs of the President's NAU United Way Council. Direct questions to Sandoval, 523-5339, or Arminio, 523-6462.
