NAU president expresses sympathy over UofA student death

An 18-year-old Native American female at the University of Arizona died on Wednesday in her residence hall, and her roommate was taken into custody as a suspect in her death. Mia J. Henderson, a resident of the Navajo Nation in Arizona, died at approximately 6:30 a.m. She was a freshman from Tuba City, Ariz., majoring in biology.

"On behalf of the entire Northern Arizona University community, I would like to express our deepest sympathies for the friends and family of Mia Henderson," said NAU President John Haeger. "We know she had a lot of friends here at NAU and throughout northern Arizona. Her tragic death saddens us all."
