NAU observatory hosting The moon will pass through the Earth's shadow tonight, Feb. 20, and—permitting it is not snowing—the NAU Astronomy and Astrobiology Club will host a public viewing of the phenomenon from 6:30-10:30 p.m. at NAU's Atmospheric Research Observatory. Admission is free, though donations will be taken at the door. If snow is in the forecast, call the observatory at (928) 523-7170 to confirm the viewing. The NAU observatory is located on the NAU campus, on the west side of San Francisco Street. The easily recognized, dome-shaped building lies between McConnell Drive and Butler Avenue, approximately 1/2 mile north of the Walkup Skydome.
