Physics and astronomy professors host joint book signing

From exploring the surface of Mars to breaking down the complex world of quantum mechanics, two Northern Arizona University faculty members will share their latest books at a book signing next week.

The event features the works of Nadine Barlow and Gary Bowman, both associate professors of physics and astronomy at NAU.

The book signing takes place from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, at the NAU Bookstore.

Barlow's book, Mars: An Introduction to its Interior, Surface, and Atmosphere, is an interdisciplinary textbook that explains current scientific understanding of Mars.
Bowman's text, Essential Quantum Mechanics, gives a concise look at the difficult field of quantum mechanics in order to make it a tangible science to readers.
