'Wunderkammer': An art exhibit that gets curiouser and curiouser The NAU Art Museum and the College of Arts and Letters are taking the university down the rabbit hole with its new exhibit "Wunderkammer: The University as Cabinet of Curiosities." The special exhibition features items from departments across the university that are used for teaching, research and other applications. "We have gross things in formaldehyde in bottles, mammoth dung and antique typewriters," said Michael Vincent, dean of the College of Arts and Letters and one of the exhibit's curators. "It will be a great mixture of bones, bottles and departmental treasures." It also is curated by Jen McLerran, director of the NAU Art Museum, and College of Arts and Letters students Laurie Anderson, Brittny Bevel, Daniel Stern and Juliana Ortegon. The exhibit provides a different way of looking at the university and is a good introduction to the new Museum Studies program starting this fall, Vincent said. The exhibit will open April 18 with a reception 1-3 p.m. at the museum. It will run until May 15. The NAU Art Museum is located on the second floor of Old Main, building 10.
