Conference explores teaching technologies Faculty members can explore how technology can enhance their teaching at the Southwest Institute for Learning with Technology—formerly called the e-Learning Institute—May 19-21 in The W.A. Franke College of Business. The fourth annual conference features 44 sessions spanning three days and will bring together experienced instructors, administrators and support staff throughout the region to share case studies, best practices, policies and trends in using instructional tools to enhance teaching and to help students excel. Assessment expert Marilee Bresciani, an associate professor of postsecondary education leadership at San Diego State University, will give an opening keynote address at 10 a.m. May 19 titled "Are You Using Technology to Assess Learning or Assessing Learning to Improve Technology?" During the closing address, "Considering Learning Spaces '2.0': Crafting Engaging Places in an Interaction Age," Andew Milne, an expert on interactive learning space technologies, will explore how learning spaces contribute to a successful learning environment.
