Campus showing few patients with flu-like symptoms

Fronske Health Center remains busy at the end of the semester, but few patients show influenza-like symptoms.

Beth Applebee, Fronske director, said that while the center was busy on Monday and Tuesday, students are not displaying symptoms similar to swine influenza A, H1N1, also known as swine flu.

On Saturday, tests came back negative on the NAU student who state health officials originally thought was a “probable” case of H1N1. The 19-year-old student, who originally reported flu-like symptoms on April 24, is fully recovered, Applebee said.
