Taylor Chan, business major

Taylor Alan Chan, 21, died May 25, 2009, in Flagstaff. He was born Nov. 12, 1987, in Flagstaff to Alan and Linda Chan. He was the oldest of two children.

Mr. Chan graduated from Flagstaff High School in 2006 and was entering his senior year in Northern Arizona University’s W.A. Franke College of Business. His love was for family, friends and the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, snowboarding, hunting, camping and kayaking. He had a spark for life and a great sense of humor.

Mr. Chan is survived by his father, Alan Chan, and his father's wife Lindy; mother Linda M. Chan; sister Abby Rose; grandmother Mary Chan; aunt Elaine Chan; the Jay and Susan Chan family; stepbrother and step-sister Gabriel and Jenny Belle Winse; and many relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held this morning in Flagstaff. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent to Flagstaff Toys for Tots, PO Box 127, Flagstaff, AZ 86002, or the American Cancer Society, 2724 E. Lakin, Suite 9 Flagstaff, AZ 86004, two organizations that Mr. Chan held close to his heart.
