Everest climber to be featured during Jake Norton, who has scaled Mount Everest five times, will be the keynote speaker at the annual Teaching for a Change conference in Flagstaff. Norton's address will feature photos taken from atop the world's highest mountains. He has climbed several of the famed “Seven Summits,” including Everest and Mount Kilimanjaro. He has led five expeditions into the Peruvian Andes and reached the summit of Mount Rainier 88 times. Norton’s topic will be “Climb Your Everest and Enjoy the Journey.” Tickets are available for his keynote as well as for the full conference.Conference information is available at teachingforachange.com. Registration is $580 with discounts available for multiple attendees from an institution. Keynote ticket registration is $35 in advance and $50 at the door (8:30 to 10:00 a.m. on June 16). |
