HR offering furlough information sessions Furlough information sessions for managers and employees will be offered next week as NAU prepares to begin the 2009-2010 furlough program on July 1. A June 26 “Managing Furloughs” session will provide supervisors—including front-line supervisors, academic chairs, deans, directors and department heads—with guidance on managing individual and departmental needs in an equitable manner. The session will clarify what can and cannot be done in the administration of furloughs. A June 30 general “Furlough Information Session” is on deck to provide employees an overview of the furlough process, including how a furlough can be scheduled, taken and tracked. For times, locations and to register, go to the Human Resources Training Opportunities web site. If you would like to participate from an NAU Extended Campuses site, contact training@nau.edu. |
