Stuff the bus with school supplies

The state’s budget situation is forcing some school districts to look elsewhere for help, and Northern Arizona University is doing its part.

Purchase school supplies to donate to Flagstaff Unified School District students and bring them to “Stuff the Bus” on Aug. 9 from
11 a.m.-4 p.m. at NAU’s North Union lawn. The goal is to fill a school bus with the much-needed supplies.

Items needed are:

  • #2 pencils
  • composition notebooks
  • Post-It notes
  • copy paper
  • dry erase markers
  • permanent markers
  • facial tissue
  • flash drives
  • hand sanitizer

There also will be a community barbecue, games and prizes.

If you cannot attend but would like to donate, look for Community for Classroom collection bins at Flagstaff merchant locations.

This event is sponsored by NAU, NAU Campus Dining and the High Country Conference Center. For information, call (928) 523-7778.
