Clinics scheduled for seasonal flu vaccines; H1N1 vaccines later in fall

Fronske Health Center has begun its annual flu clinics, providing immunizations for seasonal flu. H1N1 immunizations will not be available until later in the fall.

Fronske officials and the Centers for Disease Control are recommending that individuals get seasonal flu vaccinations earlier this year to reduce the chance of getting seasonal flu and possibly spreading it if H1N1 becomes widespread.

Employees can receive a flu vaccine in one of three ways:

  • From 2 to 4 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays through Sept. 9 in the Fronske annex modular
  • By attending Fronske-sponsored clinics
    • 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 14, Cline Library
    • 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sept. 16, The W.A. Franke College of Business
    • 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 18, Biological Sciences
    • Noon to 4 p.m. Sept. 22,  Capital Assets
  • During Fronske Health Center’s immunization hours: 8 to 11:30 a.m. and 2 to 4:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday; and Wednesdays from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and 2 to 4:30 p.m.

Fronske also will be scheduling seasonal flu vaccination clinics in some departments. Student flu clinics will begin soon in residence halls and the University Union.
