Golf tournament to benefit Native students

A golf tournament to benefit Native American students at Northern Arizona University begins at 8 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at Continental Golf Course.

The money raised during the ninth annual Northern Arizona University Native American Programs Golf Tournament is to help support more than 20 students each academic year and is used for a variety of purposes, including internships, class payments, career development and commuting expenses from reservations.

Sponsored by the NAU Foundation and the Office of Alumni Relations, the tournament will be a four-person scramble. Prizes will be awarded for longest drive and closest to the pin.

To register, contact the NAU Office of Alumni Relations at (928) 523-3757.
