Research Open House shares info, praise

During NAU’s Research Open House on Sept. 9, the Applied Research and Development building was brimming with students, staff and scientists interested in the university’s research, scholarship and creative activities.

Sarah Ells, left, a program coordinator for the Office of Regulatory Compliance, shares information about environmental health and safety on campus with student worker Ericka Bura, an undergraduate in microbiology.

Sponsored by the Office of the Vice President for Research, the events included informational booths from more than 10 research support services on campus, including Bilby Research Center, NAU Ventures and Grant and Contract Services.

The events also honored the scientific and creative endeavors of students and faculty with NAU’s Research and Creative Activity Awards.
