Events to provide Election Day insights

Americans are preparing to head to the polls in less than two weeks, and NAU's Department of Politics and International Affairs has planned several non-partisan activities to inform and engage voters on Election Day processes and analysis.

On Tuesday, Nov. 6, a panel will discuss “What’s at Stake,” featuring several politics faculty speaking on what to look for in the evening's election returns. Professor and political pollster Fred Solop will moderate the conversation, which begins
at 11 a.m. in the Social and Behavioral Sciences building, room 325.

Voters are invited to gather during an Election Watch Party that evening, beginning at 7 p.m. in SBS room 110. Solop and other faculty will be on hand to analyze and discuss results as they come in.

Once the elections are over, a panel will convene for an Election Post-Mortem to discuss the outcomes and their implications. Professor Stephen Nuño will moderate the conversation, which begins at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, in Ashurst Auditorium.
