NAU Athletics signs apparel deal with Nike

Northern Arizona University has signed a three-year apparel agreement with Nike Inc. and Nike team dealer Buddy's All-Stars of Phoenix to outfit all 15 NAU teams with practice and game gear.

"We are excited to have an all-department program in place," Athletics Director Jim Fallis said. "Nike will provide consistency and quality in what our athletes and staff wear on and off the field." The all-department program replaces individual sports' arrangements with various vendors.

NAU athletes, coaches and administrative staff all will wear Nike footwear, apparel, uniforms and accessories for all practices and events. The agreement includes retail Nike products to be used at the discretion of the Athletics Department, as well as minimum purchase amounts in return over the course of each year of the agreement.

"NAU is an up-and-coming athletic department and Nike wanted to partner with its successful programs on campus," said Chris Keldorf, sales manager for Nike team sports. "We want to see this relationship grow from head to toe with footwear and apparel. We want to treat NAU as a top-tier program."

"I would like to express our gratitude to the athletic department at Northern Arizona University for allowing us the opportunity to provide them with what we feel is an outstanding package and should benefit all parties involved," said Ron Shepro, co-owner and general manager of Buddy's All-Stars. "It will give us tremendous exposure in northern Arizona with a product line that we think is very attractive to all."
