- Mary I. Dereshiwsky, associate professor, educational leadership, was moderator of the "Successful Online Presentations" web-based conference June 21- 23 and sponsored by the Learning Resources Network.
- Glenn Hansen, program coordinator, Honors Program, has received the 2005 Outstanding Advisor award from the national Blue Key Honor Society. Hansen—an NAU Blue Key alumnus who has advised the local Blue Key chapter for six years—was one of two chapter advisors recognized at the Blue Key Leadership Conference in Toledo, OH last month for going "beyond the normal position requirements of advisor in the advising and guidance role," according to the award criteria. The award honors chapter advisors who demonstrate exemplary advising, guidance, and dedication to chapter excellence.
- Richard Quartaroli, Cline Library Special Collections librarian, presented "Their Lips Are Moving: Grand Canyon River Guides' Oral History Project," on June 24 at the sixth biennial conference of the Association for the Study of Literature and Environment, Being in the World, Living with the Land, in Eugene, Ore.
