Pam Malone - Program Coordinator

Pam Malone joined ITEP in May
2008 as the Program Coordinator for the Environmental Compliance Inspection program. Pam works with John Mead on providing
ECI courses and research in developing possible new courses to meet the needs in Indian Country. The ECI program provides
trainings and technical assistance for Tribes to conduct civil inspections with Tribal and/or EPA authority.
Pam worked at the Multicultural Engineering Program at NAU's south campus. She worked with students and advisors in recruitment,
retention, mentoring, and provided student support assistance.
Prior to moving to Flagstaff, Pam attended the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico and received a Bachelor's
degree in Political Science and Women Studies. While living in Albuquerque, Pam co-founded a 501(c3) organization protecting
a sacred site, the Petroglyph National Monument. Which transformed into a community-based organization working on native
issues regionally and nationally, and getting native voters to vote on statewide issues. Pam has extensive experience as a
community organizer, campaign organizer, and campaign researcher/strategist, working with non-profit organizations and
tribal entities, sovereignty rights, sacred sites, youth development, board development, women and gender issues, and
environmental justice.
Pam was born and raised in Northern Arizona and is grateful to be back "home" near Dooko'oo'sliid (San Francisco Peaks).
When not at work, Pam enjoys dancing with her daughter and spending quality time with her daughter.
