In Lesson 3, you made a list of the sources you think are present on your reservation. At the end of Lesson 3 you determined what activity data will need to be collected to make emissions estimates for these sources on your reservation. As you write your IPP as introduced in Lesson 4, you will estimate how much work it will take you to collect the activity data and enter it into to TEISS. Either just before or just after you collect your activity data you will need to enter it into TEISS.
In Lesson 8, you learned how to enter data on each source type, but the example shown was for a county. In this section, we'll show you how to enter sources for your reservation, alongside the information you downloaded for your area from the NEI.
Location, location, location!
A key factor to remember about entering your tribe's sources is that they MUST be entered into a location folder named for your tribe. The following examples should help to clarify.
Point Sources
In this example, NEI data for the three Nevada counties surrounding the Walker River Paiute Reservation were imported. A Location folder has been added for the Walker River Paiute Tribe. Note the number in parentheses next to each of the county's facilities folder, it tells you how many point sources are located in each of those counties, according to the NEI. In this example, no point sources have been entered for the Walker River Paiute Tribe yet, so there is no number next to the facilities folder.

Area, Non-Road, On-Road and Fire Sources
All of the source types must have a location folder for your tribe. The expanded outline for the Walker River Paiute example is shown below.

The easiest way to add your tribe's location folder for each source type is as follows (example provided for area sources):
- Left click once on the Area Locations folder.
- Keep the mouse over the words Area Locations then right click once.
- A small menu will appear, click on Add Area Location
- A new area location folder will appear and on the right side of the screen you will be prompted to enter a state. Select the state where the majority of your reservation is located.
- Click on the Tribe radio button, then use the drop-down list to select your tribe.
The picture below shows the right side of the screen for steps 4 and 5.

When adding your reservation sources to your project, be sure that they are entered in under your tribe's location folder. DO NOT enter reservation sources under the county folders!!!
