Lesson 4 - Inventory Preparation Plans (IPP)

This section describes how to plan your emission inventory work and create an IPP. If you are completing your EI as a requirement for an EPA grant, be sure to work closely with your EPA project officer as you develop your IPP or Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP). ITEP has found that EPA requirements for what is included in an IPP or QAPP vary from region to region. One way to get started is to go through the TEISS IPP wizard quickly, then supply it to your EPA project officer as a draft or an outline and ask for guidance on how to proceed.

Learning objectives for this session:

  • Describe why planning for your EI is important

  • Know the five important things to consider as you plan your EI work

  • Describe how to get started on your IPP

  • Be able to use the TEISS IPP wizard

TEISS Exercise TEISS exercise: Explore the IPP Wizard

Provide Tribal IPP and EI QAPP examples.
