Lesson 8 - Case Project 1

8.4 - Non-Road and On-Road Mobile Sources in Case 1

In sections 5 and 6 of Case 1, you will learn how to use EPA models, that are run outside of TEISS, to create emissions estimates for these source types. If you are not concerned about these source types on your reservation at this time, or you want to focus on point and area sources, you can skip these sections of Case 1.

For both Non-Road and On-Road mobile sources, TEISS estimates emission by having you, the user, step outside of TEISS to run models that were developed by EPA. TEISS then imports the results of these models and stores the results along with all the other project data in your project's outline.

If you are concerned about Non-Road and On-Road mobile sources, we will be giving more detail on how to deal with these source types on reservations in Lessons 14 and Lessons 15.

TEISS Exercise: Use the TEISS Training Manual to continue work on Case 1. Work through Sections 4 and 5 then return to the web course before starting Section 6 on Fire sources. The web course will provide some introductory information on Fire sources.
