Course: Source Reduction Strategies for Tribal Solid Waste Programs

Course Description:
This course will focus on understanding your waste stream and developing effective source reduction strategies.

  • Designing and Managing a Recycling Program

  • Tribal Case Study and Site Visit

  • Small Group Activities


Participant Eligibility:
Applicants must be employed by a federally recognized tribe. The course is specifically developed for staff employed in all aspects of solid waste management.

Course Fees:
There are no tuition or registration fees required. ITEP will pay for lodging (room and taxes only) expenses and reimburse per diem (at the rate established by Northern Arizona University) for up to 20 participants. Participants are responsible for their own travel costs.
