New Emergency Text Service: NAU Alert

Northerna Arizona University has partnered with e2Campus to enhance its emergency notification system by creating NAU Alert, a mass notification system to send text messages to cell phones in case of emergency, including weather-related closures.

The service is available to NAU students, faculty, staff, and families. It is free and voluntary, but you must register to receive it. The registration will also permit you to add an alternative phone number, so that you can designate another person to receive alerts.

The system will only be used for urgent or emergency messages—no unsolicited content will be distributed.

Although the alert system itself is free, subscribers may have to pay fees associated with their text messaging service.

Current NAU systems using email, web pages, and the NAU Now Line (928-523-0007) will continue.
