DIRECT DIALING

On-Campus Dialing:

  • The main pre-fix for the NAU Flagstaff campus is "523". Dial "3" and the last four digits of the NAU number
  • The pre-fix for Pine Ridge Village is "864". Dial "4" and the last four digits of the NAU number.
  • Numbers that begin with a "2" are non-direct-inward-dial (non-did) numbers, and cannot be called from off-campus.
  • NAU Yuma numbers are 5-digit and begin with either "4" or "7". The Phoenix offices are 5-digit and begin with a "6".
    • In order to dial a Yuma extension, you must first dial 54, then the 5 digit extension.
    • For Paradise Valley, dial 55 and the 5 digit extension.
    • Phoenix North Valley, West Maricopa, East Maricopa, and South Mountain; dial 6xxxxx.

Local Dialing:

  • Dial "8" for an outside line, then the 7-digit number.

  • Note:Some house/lobby phones are restricted to on-campus dialing only

Direct-Dial Long Distance:

  • Dial 8+1+Area Code+7digit number

Direct-Dial International:

  • Dial 8+011+Country Code + City Code + Number

  • Note: Your phone must be programmed to dial in state, nationwide and international long distance.  If you are getting a reorder (fast busy) signal when you dial, call Telecomm Support (3-7474).

Information Calls:

  • Dial 8 + 411

Note: A charge of $1.50 is billed for each information call. You may visit the Qwest web site and find both residential and business listings free of charge.

Calling Card Call

Domestic and Canada:

  • Dial 8+0+Area Code+7 digit number

  • Wait for a tone, then enter the calling card number

International:

  • Dial 8+01+country code + city code + number

  • Wait for a tone, then enter the calling card number

Additional international calling assistance is available at the AT&T web site


Collect Calls

  • Dial 8+0+Area Code+7 digit number

  • Wait for the AT&T prompt to speak the word "collect"

Note: We are not allowed to accept collect calls at NAU.
