SWITCHBOARD HOURS

University Operators are available at 523-9011 from 8 a.m.- 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and an automated attendant is available to provide directory assistance 24 /7.

OUR FUNCTION

The goal of the university switchboard is to direct callers to the needed destination with the fewest connections along the way. The switchboard operators provide current information on faculty, staff, and student telephone numbers. We receive an average of 11,217 calls each month. Operators answer a variety of inquires from local, state, national, and international callers that run the gamut from asking the correct time to requesting paternity testing for dogs. The most common question of all, "Are classes cancelled due to weather conditions?", is directed to the appropriate extension.
