Voice Mail Quick Tips
Transferring Calls Into Voice Mail


To create a voice mail account call Telecomm Support at x37474. You will be given your unique 5-digit voice mailbox number, and the default security code to use the first time.

Accessing Your Voice Mailbox

  1.  
    • From on campus: Press *5 or press the "voice mail" or "CLBK" button.
    • From off campus: Dial (928)523-6225.
  2. Press the pound (#) button.
  3.  
    • From your office phone: Press the# button.
    • From any other phone: Enter your five (5) digit mailbox number.
  4. Enter your security code (5 to 10 digits).

Getting Help

    While in your mailbox:
  • For general help press the 0 button at the "Ready" prompt.
  • For help on a specific function press the 0 button followed by the number button corresponding to that function.

Exiting Your Mailbox

Note: If you do not exit your mailbox correctly, messages that you have erased may return as new mail.
  1. Press the9 button to initiate the exit.
  2. Then:
    • Press the 9 button to exit.
    • Or, press the 0 button to make another call or enter another mailbox.
    • Or, press the * button to continue to use your mailbox.

Listening to Your Messages

  • New Messages
    • At the "Ready" prompt press the 5 button to listen to the first new message.
    • Press the 5 button to listen to the next message.
    • Refer to the "While Listening to Messages" table below for other options while listening to your mail.
  • Saved Messages
    1. To access your saved messages press the 1 9 2 buttons.
    2. Then press the 5 button to listen.
    3. Press the 191 buttons to return to your new mail.
    4. Refer to the "While Listening to Messages" table below for other options while listening to your mail.
While Listening to Messages
2 = Back up 22 = Back to Beginning
3 = Erase 4 = Go forward
7 = Save 8 = Time/Date
13 = Forward 14 = Immediate call back
15 = Listen to previous message 17 = Reply
18 = Volume * = Pause/Resume

Recording and Sending Messages

  1. To begin press the 6 button at the "Ready" prompt.
  2. Record your message.
    Options While Recording Your Message
    2 = Back up 22 = Back to Beginning
    3 = Erase * = Pause/Resume
  3. Press the # button to end the message.
  4. Enter one or more address or press the 0 0 buttons to address via the names directory.
    Options While Addressing
    * = Cancel address ** = Erase message
  5. To send the messsage press the # button.
    Options While Sending
    1 = Return Receipt 2 = Overnight/Immediate delivery
    3 = Enter additional addresses 4 = Mark Private
    5 = Mark future delivery ** = Erase message.

Checking on Messages Sent

  1. Press the1 2 buttons at the "Ready" prompt.
  2. Then enter the recipient's mailbox number.

Recording and Changing Personal Greetings

  1. Press the 4 button at the "Ready" prompt to access Greeting.
    Options While in Greeting
    1 = Turn ON 2 = Turn OFF
    5 = Listen # = Leave unchanged
  2. To record a new message press the 6 button while in the Greeting mode.
  3. Press the # button to end the recording.

    4 = Back 22 = Back to Beginning
    3 = Erase * = Pause/Resume

Customizing Your Mailbox

  • Press the 16 buttons at the "Ready" prompt to enter the Custom Options.
    While in Custom Options
    1 = Message Waiting 2 = Security Code
    3 = Offsite or Pager 4 = Auto Copy
    5 = Personal Assistance 6 = Personal Distribution List
    7 = Listen to Future Delivery 8 = Record Name

HELPFUL REMINDERS:

2 = To Back Up, while recording or listening. 3 = To Erase a message.
4 = To Change your greeting. 4 = To Go Forward while listening.
5 = To Listen to a message. 6 = To Send a message to another mailbox. 7 = To Save a message. 8 = To hear the Time a message arrived.
9 = To Exit your mailbox.
