ITS Web Tools

  Acrobat FDF Toolkit

Runs on www4. This toolkit allows you to write ASP code to create PDF documents from a web page. Adobe has a page that lists all of the features of the toolkit, along with SDKs and a Knowledge Base.

15Seconds.com has a great article on using this toolkit.

  ASP / .NET

Active Server Pages are becoming more prominent across NAU as departments implement web-driven applications to perform business functions.

ASP allows for the creation of dynamic, interactive sessions with the user. An ASP page contains HTML and embedded programming code written in VBScript or Jscript. ASP makes it easy to connect to and work with Oracle or Access databases.

ASP and .net are available on Oak, Pine, and www4.

.net ONLY is available on www5

ITS is now offering training in ASP. You should have web site development as well as programming & SQL experience before signing up for this course. Check out our training schedule for more information.

More information can be found on the www6 home page.

FrontPage offers many features for developers, including form handling, Access database connectivity, hover buttons, rotating ad banners and much more.

ITS offers training in FrontPage monthly. Check out our training schedule for more information.
