In fall 2008, University Marketing received several design awards from the following organizations:
Graphic Design USA
Graphic Design USA is a monthly news and information magazine for and about the professional design community. For four decades, GDUSA has sponsored national design competitions, the biggest of which is the American Graphic Design Awards. The awards process is open to advertising agencies, graphic design firms, corporations, insitutions, and publishers.
The 2008 awards process saw more than 10,000 entries. Fifteen percent are recognized with Awards Certificates of Excellence.
Northern Arizona University won eight awards in various categories including logos, trademarks, and symbols, books, brochures, and direct mail/direct response. The awards are outlined in this PDF.
National Orientation Directors Association
National Orientation Directors Association (NODA) was chartered in 1976 and continues the tradition of orientation, retention, and transition professionals who have met annually for over 40 years.
NAU won a design award from NODA for the Outstanding Orientation Handbook (3 or more colors) category in the 2008 NODA Pubs Media Showcase Awards. The handbook will be one of only two awards displayed during NODA's annual conference this fall.
