Thanksgiving on campus
If your student is planning to stay in Flagstaff for the upcoming Thanksgiving break, there are activities and happenings on campus and around town.
First, the dining halls will be open throughout the break and will be accepting meal plans. Also, a variety of activities will take place in each residence hall.
Thanksgiving weekend is also a great time to cheer on the women's basketball team, which is hosting a tournament. They play both Bradley and North Dakota that weekend at the Rolle Activity Center. Games are free for students!
This will also be a busy weekend in town. Encourage your student to take advantage of Flagstaff events such as the Lowell Observatory Thanksgiving Weekend Celebration, Holiday Lights Festival and Lighting Ceremony, or see the play It's a Wonderful Life. If outdoors is more their thing, the Northern Arizona Trail Runner's Association hosts a group run on Saturday.
We sent this same information to your student but we wanted you to be aware as well. We wish you and your student a great Thanksgiving break!
NAU Kayettes
"Spirit, service, smile. That is the Kayettes' motto," says Courtney McClure, senior Speech Pathology and Audiology major and Kayettes president.
Kayettes is a community service organization on campus. As president she holds the group up to their standards. "I wanted to reach out and didn't know how until a strong group of women called Kayettes caught my attention."
