Curriculum Development for Schools/Districts

Changing demographics, new advances in technology, a complex global environment and society, and new demands on workers are bringing dramatic changes to the work place. The Institute strives to work as partners with schools/districts to prepare the citizenry of tomorrow. The Institute can assist schools/district in:

  • Implementing programs
  • Developing curriculum products including classroom activities that deliver state recommended curriculum.
  • Conducting in-service related to education, including:
  • Implementation of the Comprehensive Program for Career and Technical Education
  • Integrating academic and career and teachnical education
  • Training-the-trainers
  • Grant Writing
  • Cooperative Learning
  • Learning Styles
  • Technology Use and Implementation in the Classroom (through the AZTEC Lab)
  • Implementing Industry Tours
  • Providing performance measures technical assistance
  • Developing technology plans
  • Organizing career and technical student organizations (CTSO)
  • Implementing work-based participation strategies
  • Providing certification information to vocational staff
  • Other needs as identified by the school/district

Some services may be supported by the Arizona Department of Education, Career and Technical Education Unit, Program Improvement projects. Other activities may be delivered on a cost-recovery basis.
