General Dress Code
- All students with long hair should have it neatly tied back. Classic-styled "buns" are required for girls in ballet classes (Primary level and above). Use a hair net to keep the bun tidy.
- Girl's dance shoes are available from All That Dance, (928) 714-9300 or Canyon Dance Academy, (928) 774-3937. Call for information and hours.
- No jewelry. No gum. If necessary, students will be asked to remove these hazards during class.
Tap / Jazz
Standard tap and jazz dance wear is appropriate. Tap and jazz shoes are available through All That Dance, (928) 714-9300 or Canyon Dance Academy, (928) 774-3937. Call for more information.
Ballet
Girls and Women
Pre-Ballet/Pre-Primary: Choice of leotard, footless tights optional. No shoes. Please, no tutus.
Primary: Regulation pink leotard, available for purchase from instructor, pink socks and pink ballet shoes.
Grades 1 - 5: Regulation navy leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes and character shoes (available through Ballet Boutique Phoenix (602) 234-1247 and studio 2nd hand).
Grades 6-8: Choice of leotard in a plain dark color, pink tights, pink ballet shoes and character shoes.
Boys and Men
Pre-Ballet 1 & 2/Pre-Primary: White T-shirt, dark shorts and bare feet.
Primary: White T-shirt, tight-fitting black shorts, white socks, and white or black ballet slippers.
Grades 1 & 2: White T-shirt, tight-fitting black shorts, white socks, white or black ballet slippers and black character shoes.
Grades 3 and up: White T-shirt, black footless tights, dance belt, white socks, white or black ballet slippers and black character shoes.
