Welcome to the NAU Recreation Center

Here at the Recreation Center, we continually strive to improve quality of life for the university community, students and employee members, by promoting healthy living through recreational sports and leisure activities. Our program offers a variety of services, these services include opportunities for fitness, wellness, competition and/or education.

In keeping with the goals of the NIRSA, we "encourage the promotion of the ideals of recreational sports by incorporating such values as sportsmanship, fair play, participation and an atmosphere which promotes equitable opportunity for all." We focus on opportunities and experiences that will offer an extension of the classroom, the development of life skills and celebration of the values of diversity. The Recreation Center provides a friendly environment that offers safe facilities and high-quality programs backed by a trained and knowledgeable staff. There is an average of 1,600 participants using the 46,000 square feet facility each day.
