Students

The students of the training program are the reason we are located at Northern Arizona University. We currently have five students in the program here at NAU. Students in the program work at various jobs so that they gain a familiarity with all aspects of Archaeology and Anthropology. Students participate in data recovery, surveys, lab work, data entry, analysis, and report writing.

At various times throughout the year students may also participate in conferences, career fairs and field trips. Last year we had two students present papers at the Society for Applied Anthropology conference in Tucson, AZ. Students have also attended the Pecos Conference at various locations and also the Kiln Conference at Crow Canyon Archaeological Center. The students also had the exciting opportunity to go to the Treasures of the Nile show at the Phoenix Museum.
