NAU Police Department employs one PROPERTY & EVIDENCE TECHICIAN. This employee is an invaluable part of our team. The individual provides support to various functions within the Police Department. His or her primary duties include:

Assisting police officers by performing security - and /or traffic-related duties (i.e., building checks, escorts, point control, etc.) |

Receiving, cataloging, storing, securing, and releasing evidence, found property, and items stored for safekeeping. |
|
Receiving, cataloging, issuing, and replacing department equipment and uniforms. |
|
Coordinating department vehicle maintenance and repair with NAU's Fleet Services. |
|
Completing police reports on minor non-felony, non-arrest incidents |
|
Providing relief police dispatching duties as needed. |
