The Northern Arizona University and the Northern Arizona University Police Department actively recruit qualified individuals for available positions, sworn and non-sworn. The recruiting and selection processes are reviewed periodically, and minimally once a year, to ensure no bias or prejudices exist. We have adopted a proactive recruiting plan to assist in locating, testing, hiring, and retaining minority personnel to better reflect the community that we serve.
The Police Chief, along with his staff, is committed to recruiting qualified applicants for the police department. Every employee is encouraged to recruit qualified applicants during their contacts with the community.
