Governor's P-20 Council

Gov. Janet Napolitano created the Governor’s P-20 Council in 2005 to improve and align Arizona’s education systems from early childhood through postsecondary education, and to align Arizona’s education systems to the expectations of 21st century employers.

Also in 2005, she appointed NAU President John Haeger to the council, which has been the impetus for planning and implementing significant policy changes in the state’s education system and continue this work today.
