See separate instructions for MA/PhD and MPA programs
Eligibility Requirements:
To be eligible to apply to our graduate Public Management Certificate (PMC) program, meet the following requirements:
- an accredited bachelor's degree in a closely related discipline (as reflected in official transcripts submitted to the NAU Graduate College), with a completion date prior to the beginning of the first term of graduate study
- You should meet the Graduate College's minimum GPA of 2.5.
Required Materials for Application:
- Application to the NAU Graduate College: Submit on-line application, pay application fee, and have the institution which granted your degree send an official transcript to the Graduate College. The on-line application method is strongly recommended; a paper alternative is available. For full instructions see Graduate College application procedures at http://www.nau.edu/gradcol/appoptions.htm.
- Department of Political Science application: If you use the on-line application process to apply to the Graduate College, that application serves as the Department application as well. The online application is strongly preferred. If you must apply on paper, two separate application forms (available on the Graduate College and Department websites, respectively) are required.
- No additional materials or letters of recommendation are required for the PMC.
Application Deadline and Cycle:
- Applicants to the PMC program may apply at any time during the year. Applications are considered on a rolling basis. If you wish to sign up for classes in the upcoming semester, allow sufficient time for receipt of transcripts and application processing. Note also that courses for the PMC may fill quickly, and enrollment may be by permission only; early admission and enrollment is strongly advised to ensure availability of courses.
- Materials received in connection with an application for admission become the property of NAU. If an applicant is not admitted or does not enroll in classes, documents may be destroyed per NAU policy.
Additional Info:
If you have further questions about the application process, please contact us directly if you do not find the information you need (Graduate Programs Administrator, 928-523-6544, political.science@nau.edu).
