Sponsored Projects Services (SPS) assists campus investigators and departmental staff in carrying out the mission of the University by providing financial management services related to externally funded projects. The types of funds managed by SPS include (but are not limited to) federal and state grants and contracts awarded for research, public service, instruction and other activities; federal financial aid; and, grants and contracts from private for-profit and nonprofit organizations. SPS collects the funds from grant funding agencies, prepares and submits financial reports to project sponsors and manages the university’s effort reporting system.
SPS is committed to protecting the University through effective management of funds to ensure compliance with university and sponsor requirements and restrictions and to providing investigators, research administrators and funding agencies with responsive customer service.
