The Arizona Coalition of Victim Services (ACVS) organized the Arizona Victim Assistance Academy, using funding from a Department of Justice, Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) grant (State Victim Assistance Academy initiative). ACVS then chose Northern Arizona University to organize and host the program, using a competitive proposal process. Program evaluation was included in the original subcontract to NAU. Dr. Lynn Jones, Northern Arizona University Department of Criminal Justice, commissioned the Social Research Laboratory (SRL) at Northern Arizona University to analyze evaluations for the Arizona Victim Assistance Academy (AVAA) training conference. |
