Renzi Surges Ahead of Cordova   Republican Rick Renzi, candidate for Congress, has surged ahead of Democrat George Cordova in support among likely voters. The Arizona CD 1 race is one of the most closely watched congressional races in the nation.   10/21/2002
Arizona Ballot Propositions   A majority of likely voters support Proposition 203, which would impose civil fines for possession of marijuana, authorize the use of medical marijuana and increase maximum sentences for violent crimes committed on drugs. Proposition 202, backed by 17 Arizona Indian tribes, is also supported by likely voters.   10/2/2002
Salmon and Napolitano Deadlocked   Among likely voters, 41 percent support Salmon and 38 percent support Napolitano. More than half (55%) of likely voters say the economy is the most important issue facing the next governor of Arizona.   10/1/2002
Cordova and Renzi Tied in Support   Republican Rick Renzi and Democrat George Cordova are running neck and neck in the race to represent Arizona Congressional District 1. Renzi and Cordova are each drawing 37 percent support among likely voters in the district while twenty three percent of likely voters are undecided.   9/17/2002
Arizonans Love New Technology, But Not While Driving   More than half of Arizonans believe new technologies make life easier. When it comes to cell phone use while driving, three-quarters of Arizonans support a ban on this common practice. Consumer electronics are popular, with two-thirds of Arizonans owning a cell phone.   4/17/2002
Governors Race Barely On The Radar Screen   Public optimism has dipped with fewer people saying the country is on the right track. President Bush’s approval ratings are very high among Arizonans, though lower than last October. Attorney General Janet Napolitano continues to have the highest approval rating among public officials in Arizona.   4/13/2002
Indian Gaming Popular in Arizona   One-third of Arizona adults say they have gambled on Indian land during the past year. A larger number say they are likely to gamble in an Indian casino during the coming year. Three-quarters of Arizonans believe casino gambling provides more advantages than disadvantages to Indian tribes in Arizona.   4/9/2002
