BLACK STUDENT UNION

The purpose of BSU is to encourage students to feel welcomed and important on campus.  We especially want minorities to feel accepted and proud of their ethnic background.  BSU offers opportunities to help out in the Flagstaff community as well as the NAU campus.  We remain very active on campus in addressing discriminatory actions.

HAPA HAWAIIAN CLUB

The purpose of HAPA is to promote understanding of the culture and provide a sense of community for students from Pacific Rim (including but not limited to: Hawaii, Alaska, Asia, Western Europe, Indonesia, Guam, Palau, the Philippines, the Marshall Islands, Samoa, Fiji, Polynesia, Western Canada, Western US, etc.).

M.E.Ch.A is not just a Mexican organization.  The Term Chicano/a is a term based on educational, cultural, social, and political consciousness.  Therefore, it is grounded on a philosophy NOT a nationality.  M.E.Ch.A is inclusive of ALL RAZA that strives for empowerment and liberation of our "gente" through higher education.

NAU RUSSIAN CLUB

The Russian Cultural Organization caters to students with an interest in Russia, whether history, culture, or food.  We promote NAU's exchange with the Barnaul State Pedagogical University in Slova.  We fund raise to help our students participate in this exchange.  We try to heighten community and university awareness of Russian culture.
