Organization
Awards
Rodney
Mather Award (application)
The Rodney Mather Award is named
for Rodney A. Mather, an active and involved student who
died in an accident at Grand Falls in 1977. In his memory,
his parents established an award and memorial fund which
honors the most outstanding civic or university service
project performed by a NAU student club or organization.
Clubs and organizations apply for this award in the Spring
and the committee looks for full member participation
and sponsorship of community service that involves and
impacts NAU and the surrounding community. Class-related
projects and projects by academic organizations that relate
to their academic area are not eligible for the Rodney
Mather Award and should apply for the Service Learning
Award below. Applications are available during spring
semester through the Office of Student Life, University
Union, Room 105. Click on the name above for the
application.
