Goals/Services: With pride we strive to enhance the well being of the less fortunate and isolated residents of Coconino County.
Programs: Senior Services including case management, nutrition instruction, respite care, home care, transportation services, public fiduciary, and emergency services. 
Volunteer Needs: Serve food, provide home care (help with cleaning, shopping, laundry, and personal care for senior), serve as a guardian or conservator for persons in need, help people in crisis situations, and assist with mailings, fundraisers, and clerical work.  (Must be 18 and have a valid drivers license to work one-on-one with seniors).

Democratic Party

Goals/Services: There are three goals to our campus organizing effort.  First, we will make every effort to register as many student voters as possible.  Second, we will recruit as many volunteers as possible for the university, offering internships and volunteer hours.  Finally, we want to mobilize student to vote by creating a sense of crusade.
Programs: We will be organizing many activities including contests between Greek organizations and residence halls, voter registration drives, student call nights and much more.
Volunteer Needs: We need volunteers to work phone banks and various activities all over campus.  We also have some internship opportunities available.

Flagstaff Family Food Center and Children's Reading Program

Goals/Services: Comprehensive social service/education program that promote parent involvement and family wellbeing as part of an overall education, Headstart focuses on the entire family unit by providing preschool education, parent education, and social services.

Volunteer Needs: Assist with promotion of Headstart program and recruitment of children fro program, help with classroom preparation, set up activities and programs for classroom instruction, supervise classrooms and fieldtrips, serve as a family advocate, and provide childcare during parent training.

Volunteer Needs: Visit residents, assist with arts and crafts, games and other such activities, shopping for residents, and reading or writing letters.  In general being a companion for elderly residents.  Talents are welcomed in the center including, clowns, magicians, skits, musicians, and any ideas.

Goals/Services: Improve the behavioral health of the people in the Northern Arizona community by providing a full range of high quality, cost-effective services.  Fees for services based on sliding scale and government contract.  All insurance accepted.
Programs: Child and family services, group, individual, and family counseling services, Adolescent Substance Abuse Program (ASAP), residential treatment center for dual-diagnosed adolescents, Wrap Around services that integrate community resources and counseling for troubled teens, and Seriously Mentally Ill (SMI) program for adults.
Volunteer Needs: Mentoring for dual-diagnosed adolescents in residential treatment center and in ASAP intensive outpatient drug rehabilitation program and provide mentoring and life skills training for adults in SMI program.  Volunteers needed to provide art therapy, play therapy, recreational therapy, youth advocacy, tutoring, etc., to assist with art fair, and to help with various office work (mailings, data entry, flyers, etc.).  Internship opportunities available.  Training and fingerprinting may be required.

Victim/Witness Services

Goals/Services: Provide assistance, support, and advocacy for victims of crime and crisis in the Coconino County.
Programs: Victim Advocate Volunteer Program, Pets Too! Program (shelter for animals of domestic violence victims), and Crime Victim Compensation Program (to help victims receive state and nationally provided funds to alleviate stress associated with crime and crises).
Volunteer Needs: Victim Advocate Volunteers respond on scene, (to domestic violence, sexual assault, homicide, etc.).  Victim Advocates provide general support, information on court process, information on roles of different individuals involved, and many opportunities available, although intensive training is required.  Training course (Social Work 401: Crisis Intervention Methods) is offered at NAU.
