Course Description:
This introductory course on the Southwest explores the region from an environmental, social science and humanities perspective, with a team teaching approach by innovative NAU faculty from several departments, with specialties in the southwest. If you are going to live in the Southwest for the rest of your life, or if you are just here for school, don't miss the opportunity to learn more about this unique part of the country.

Texts, articles, films, field trips, and a small enrollment (cap of 25) will provide students the tools with which to understand and appreciate major environmental and human themes and issues of sustainability.
